Kaplan Units

Kaplan turbines are widely used low-head, large-capacity turbines. The Kaplan turbines designed and manufactured by Toshiba have the following characteristics:
The runner adopts a cylinder-operated structure, and the blades are sealed with metal.
The runner assembly can be hoisted in one piece.
The holes on the head cover and bottom ring for guide vane bushing are machined with the NC vertical lathe, without using the conventional line boring.
The guide vane is protected by friction device.
